What industries have you worked in, and how do you adapt to different sectors?Majority of my product design experience has been in the finance/banking industry. I've worked on client facing and internal products across multiple platforms. My most recent experience at Truist is based on mobile banking where I adapt to different client types. Research and understanding key features based on account types or products the user is enrolled in helps shape UX and design decision. I love the challenge of making the expereince seemless for clients that have multiple accounts and products.

What tools do you use for designing and prototyping?Figma! I began with a love/hate relationship with this tool but I am beginning to replace multiple design tools with Figma. For example, I'm starting to create more illustrations in figma rather than Adobe Illustrator. Honorable mentions: Adobe Creative Suite, Invision (RIP😢), Sketch, ProtoPie

What is your design process? My design process is a flexible, iterative approach that typically includes the following stages: Market Research: I start by gathering insights and examples from competitors or products with related features. Essentially a light SWOT Analysis. Define: Based on my research, I create user personas and define key problems or opportunities to ensure the design is aligned with user needs and business goals. Ideation :(my favorite part) I brainstorm ideas and collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore potential solutions, often using sketching or mind mapping techniques. Wireframing: I create low-fidelity wireframes to visualize the layout and functionality of the product, focusing on user flow and interaction. This also helps me size feasibility from developers. Prototyping: I develop high fidelity interactive prototypes to simulate the user experience, which allows for more effective user testing and feedback collection. Testing & AAU's: Usability tests with real users to identify any issues or areas for improvement, gathering feedback that informs further iterations. Iteration: Based on user feedback, I refine the design, making necessary adjustments to enhance usability and overall experience. Hand-Off: Once the design is polished and approved, I collaborate with developers to ensure a smooth implementation, providing any necessary design specifications. (keeping a relationship with developers throughout the design process is also essential) Evaluation: After launch, I continue to monitor user interactions and gather data to assess the product's performance, making further adjustments as needed to optimize the experience. This process is cyclical, as I believe in continuously learning and adapting based on user feedback and changing needs.
